Particularly telling in that article is Dion's use of the word "cancer." His body has changed, his temperament, for the most part, has changed, and his game has elevated. Hopefully, driving that change is what he is thinking in his head (I have some expertise in this area). His spontaneous use of the word "cancer" suggests that he has been told (most likely by JB) that is what he was, or was in danger of becoming. More importantly, it looks like Dion has taken that to heart. Very difficult thing for anyone to accept and do, let alone a 20 year old with a huge ego.

The real litmus test for any significant change in attitude comes when the individual is placed under stress; in Dion's case, that will come if the team starts losing and/or if he thinks he is not getting enough minutes/opopportunities. Let's hope that his evolution continues because I think this will play a major role in this team's ultimate success over the season.
