Disguising our Blitzes

The beauty of Shafers blitz Packages was the way he used to disguise them. He always seemed to create havoc pre snap. I just dont see that this year. Granted, opposing teams are using hard counts and such, but I dont see the creativity, the havoc, the controlled confusion pre snap anymore. QB's seem to be able to recognize whos coming and adjust. I wonder if this is something that Shafer and Bullough need to get back to

i think we are seeing things that arent there.. if it works its because it was disguised if it fails its because it wasnt.. its not that simple. the only times you really dont see it coming is the late corner/safety blitzes.. when we stack up the LB and drop DL you still have to cover someone..

I've been wondering something similar. It seems to me that our blizers are running right into an OL or an RB and rarely come clean to the QB. I believe something has changed in the way we are blitzing andit is less effective than the old way. It could be disguises, could be routes, could be scheme. I don't think it's talent,it's the same guys, just less effective, for the most part.
