A certain part of the budget is dedicated to development. I think its naive to say that money is best used elsewhere and assume that the money is going to be used for a higher purpose. Auditing of governments budgets is a painful endeavor of wasted money.

I think that the structure of the dome is a concern and we're waiting for a big disaster to cause a problem - see roof collapses, falling concrete from the ceiling, etc. I also think that the parking and tailgating of the stadium really lacks. Tailgating is an integral experience of college football. As much as i think the Dome rocks when its sold out and its  a big game, it sucks for tailgating. At some point, we;re gonna have to replace the Dome. The university and city is always behind in funding. I hope that something awful doesn't happen or that when we finally decide it needs to be replaced that funding can't be found.

Lets not discount the benefit of construction jobs and the development of an area that is becoming more an more run down.
