[B]Takeaway[/B]: The Orange have now made three (Cornell, UVa, Duke) very good top 10 teams look incredibly pedestrian in the Carrier Dome this season. The latest victim of the Orange blitz was Duke. Even minus Randy Staats the offense hummed nicely. They were able to get into a groove and just ran the Blue Devils out of the building. That can happen when you win 13-16 face-offs in the first half. Without the ball Duke’s high powered offense was rendered useless as the Orange dissected the defense and built a 13-1 halftime lead. But keep this in mind: Syracuse lost to the Blue Devils 21-7 in the 2014 regular season, only to come back and beat Duke 16-15 in the ACCs. Everyone has a bad day, it just so happens that most of them happen to good teams up in Syracuse.
