Class of 2022 DL Gabriel Brownlow-Dindy (FL) Portal from Texas A&M

I don’t think he played much, which is surprising because he was a high end 5 star kid I believe.

And this is when the off season starts to get fun. Yes I consider bowl season off season as well. With early signing day and early portal in December its turned into a fun time of year know that we have aha recruiters and a 9 and 3 season 1 under our belt and a take down of #6 Miami.
Get ready to enjoy the rollercoaster boys and girls!

I know he hasn't played a ton at this point, but this dude is a universal 5 star. He would be a HUGE addition. I believe his father is a preacher. So, ERob and Fran are a strong team to pull him to Syracuse, one would think.

I think I saw he did good his freshman year and then tore his acl year 2?
Ah, that would explain it. Also, ERob was his coach freshman year and, as stated, his lead recruiter...so that has to open the door. He is from Lakeland Florida, but I think his dad became a preacher in College Station (I may be wrong). Anyway, I hope he is open to moving to upstate NY.

He hurt his knee (ACL tear) in the 2022 Under Armor All Star Game in Jan 2022 and was redshirted his first year.
It sounds like his RF year he got some playing time but he was lower on the depth chart than other guys.
As of this past spring, he was dealing with injuries again.
Sounds like bad luck.

He’s also close with Calvin Thibodeaux at SMU so that’s a potential landing spot for him. Thibodeaux was his recruiter when he was the DL coach at OU.

Good info, thank you.

Then played in 4 regular season games and the bowl in 2023 so that is his standard redshirt year after his medical shirt. Seems like a great fit to fill a need for us. Common sense says we should have a very good shot here.

Ugh. These are the worst type of injuries (playing in a meaningless all-star game), IMO.

I fully understand why kids opt out of playing in bowl games.
