Yes I really wanted him because I assumed he would be very good for us down the road (and he still might be good) and looking at his high school rankings and offers would lead us to think that. Not that he has to but I don’t believe he ever tweeted out an offer from us like many so good chance we wanted to get a look at him before offering.  How did Florida see him?  Maybe he was more developmental than a lot thought.  Maybe we were seeing him as a backup to the other Irvington kid or other portal guys who have yet to visit.  Maybe we just didn’t see him as a fit in our system.  Maybe he just wasn’t a culture fit with the team and/or coaches.  It could be so many other reasons as well.

Sure the optics of bringing in another former 4 star transfer would be great but I’ll trust Fran and staff in regards to their personnel decisions.
