They have a top tier MCLA men’s team in the waiting and they would like to add a women’s soccer team, so they have a Title IX offset program. Facilities seem to be the impediment as NCAA requires certain minimums at the D1 level that are challenging for the city campus at GaTech. Growth of lacrosse in Atlanta, traditional prep school recruits (so academics align), and the instant credibility of the ACC are also benefits to Tech.
