2013-14 New York Knicks NBA $22,407,474
Career to date $135,865,275

If Anthony signs for 5 yrs 129 million with the Knicks or 4 yrs 97 million with the Lakers he will end up

264 million or 232 million in a career would put Melo 4th ALLTIME in NBA career earnings behind

1 Kevin Garnett at Center, Power Forward $298,892,636
2 Shaquille O'Neal at Center $292,198,327
3 Kobe Bryant at Shooting Guard $244,358,502

Not bad for a Syracuse guy.

Give me the worst year on that list and I'd still be

Tell him to send more $$$ and to put his name on the football IPF.

Tis the ultimate slap in the face.

Then put a statue out front of DC kicking the football teams arse and just end any rebuttal before it begins.

He's been a good investment too, because his presence on the roster has allowed owners to put in place some extravagant price hikes on tickets.

What kills me is Melo is always killed by the media for being a ball stopper, not being a team player, not winning the big games. Look at the teams around him, who is the best player he has ever played with? Iverson was past his prime and jacked up just as many shots if not more which killed the offense. I would probably have to say it was tyson chandler, but then you look at the other players, such as lebron and Durant and they have had very good role players around them. As much as I don't like westbrook, he can be a very special player sometimes and Ibaka is also better then anyone melo has ever played with. Lebron had to go team up with wade and bosh before winning it all. I just think melo is unfairly criticized for not winning in the playoffs and people rate him lower then other players because of that. I mean look at Chris Paul, he is never critized yet his teams in LA have been better then anything melo has ever had and he has a 16-24 record and has only advanced out of the first round of the playoffs twice. I just hope whatever melo decides he surrounds himself with a good team, where he can achieve something special.

He's been putting together a pretty impressive career on the court as well.

FYI Kobe is at $280 million now. Will be the 1st in sports to cross the $300 million in salary earnings this year.

True if you are talking strictly what their salary is. Tiger's earnings from golf don't quite reach that, but his endorsement of Nike is over $50 million a year plus any others.

correct. Jordan, Tiger, Lebron, Ronaldo, Shoemacher, and other have cruised past $300 mil including endorsements.

Kobe has done very well in endorsements but not in the top tier category.

Tiger isnt even close to 300 mil in winnings. He is closer to $100 mil than he is $300 mil.

some boxers may be in the $300,000,000 winnings category.

Exactly, with these paychecks he should build the MeloDome.
