Does Reed decide who plays? This is a serious question. I though Dowels and Hudson were doing a good job, they didn't play on the last drive or in overtime.

Eh, it was quite noticeable when Dowels & Hudson stayed stride-for-stride with WRs deep, even though the throws weren't there.

No, you can't fire a position coach right now. I think these guys are all in and will rise or fail as a team.

I would sit Scissum right now. Whigs is coachable but I just feel like he doesn't have the athletic skills to do what needs to be done in this defensive scheme. Bulloughs D would work at FSU or LSU.

Wholeheartedly agree. Wigham got completely skirted on 2 tackle attempts in space leading to big gains & it would've been a 3rd had Simmons not come in & forced the fumble.

Then why do they keep playing him ? It can only be that he somehow understands the complexity of the D scheme (whatever it is) better than the younger guys otherwise I agree it makes no sense.

Is Shafer "too loyal" to upperclassmen? It seems like his philosophy is "tie goes to the senior," until it's too late to change course. It should be the opposite imo; unless the upperclassman is clearly better, play the younger player with the higher ceiling. And don't do it after the season is shot to hell. Hudson and Dowels, even my untrained eyes can see them saying with Thorpe, who is jet quick by the way. Conway, why blow his RS in the 1st game of the year and then nothing. Move him to R tackle instead of Palmer for crying out loud... The young guys on DL had to be used, and they are producing and also gaining valuable experience.

Winfield dowels and hudson all played well.

The idiots on here want to blame whigham 100% on that play but its more on whitner. He let a guy get behind him and guarded no one at the same time. Quite the accomplishment.

Whigham hasn't been the same since the FSU injury in 2013. He is killing us. I don't care if we play a walk on but Whigham has to be benched.

I'm probably in the minority, but thought the secondary actually played a little better. I agree w/ the previous post about Whigham. I thought he'd be a star his Freshman year.

Does anyone know his speed? I really think he's having a hard time keeping up with most of the receivers. His biggest problem is he isn't going for the ball at all. He's constantly face guarding.
