By then only way to get there from NYC was to fly to Jackson Miss and drive. Had reserved a car but met other SU fans on the flight and caught a ride with them. Scalped tickets at the hotel at the end of Canal Street where the coaches convention was.

Such an amazing weekend! The games were unreal, New Orleans is the perfect spot for the Final 4. Lunch next to Tom Izzo, Digger Phelps and other coaches at Acme Oyster. After the semi, bourbon street was crazy! Followed Carmelo around like a puppy dog.

Monday was epic. We were sitting upstairs but after they won, we went down to the Lower level to watch the ceremony. Ended up standing right next to McNabb and I was screaming nonsensical things that I’m sure scared the hell out of him. Hugged Michael Lloyd and thanked him for helping us land Melo.

Celebrated into the night but had to get some sleep - before the 4 hour drive   back to Jackson for a 10 am flight Tuesday morning, drive hungover 4 hours in a. Driving rainstorm.

Biggest regret is not spending more time at the Marriott. But overall one of the best weekends of my life.
