He didn't have to knock them down, we weren't a top 25 team going into the season, no one else thought we would be good, he didn't have to worry about anyone reading their press clippings.

Sure, but that's not what ROC is referring to, at least the way I read it. JB knew the team was going to be good and let everyone know it. From what I took of Roc's theory was if JB knows a team is going to be good, he'll knock them down publicly. He didn't do that with the Carmelo team.

You're right. He's been high on a few teams, it seems more a of a myth of the "knock them down". If we're bad, he says it, if we're average, he says it, if we're great, he says it.
