and people wonder why the attendance sucks...
I go the other way. They're not manipulated, they're sophisticated consumers and the home product too often fails to meet their discerning tastes. The issue is the casual fan. They are easily manipulated. We've done a great job and pushing them away so far.
It's that simple, right or wrong, and yet people still don't seem to get it.
I have student season tickets and I was gladly doing schoolwork this afternoon.
When we have a football product that's worth me giving up over 3 hours of my weekend to be in attendance for, let me know.
Hasn't been that way since 03'.
And people why I gave up my season tickets and just take freebies or the $10 street tickets to just get in the door. Why pay big money to watch this team make you miserable? I go to every home game, but I often ask myself why! Had season tickets for about 30 years before giving them up, it's just not that enjoyable. You get the crazy BC or Nova finish every now and then and its fun for what it is or the L'ville blowout game...but more times than not it's just painful to watch this team at home.and people wonder why the attendance sucks...
Does an team's fan base have as many front running losers like SU?
We were so close. Win this game and the casual fan is back into it. Now all we get to hear for next several weeks is what we are reading here. What reason has this team shown to the 80,000 fans who attended the first two home games that would want them to come back? You can't crap the bed in both of your home games if you want people to come to games. This team was not prepared again today to play.
Well we lost. And that's what matters. We were so close. Win this game and the casual fan is back into it. Now all we get to hear for next several weeks is what we are reading here.
