Get your minds out of the gutter...and for the record, I was told it doesn't...:D

Anyway, found this interesting. It lists all the sizes of the ACC schools by position. Was shocked to see the size of Pitts avg running back 230 lbs, and that the tallest receiving corps belong to the schools that aren't really known for passing the ball. Also, Florida State has By far the biggest defensive line. That isn't shocking, but what is, is that they outweigh the next biggest defensive line (Louisville) by a 20 lb avg. Yikes.

Size Matters

It would be interesting if they also ranked speed. Was really surprised at the size of BC - they really like big, tall boys. Their receivers average almost 4 inches taller than ours.

And they have no one to throw them the ball.

Taller than our receivers? Or our DB's?

It don't matter none, we're talkin' BC. They want to run the ball first and then what's that other thing you can do with a football?

Our db's are almost the same height (BC is taller by a 1/4 of an inch) but their receivers are almost 4 inches taller (average 6'4 and 1/3"). They don't throw as much (20 less attempts), have a slightly higher completion % (52.2 vs our 50.6) with 111 less passing yards than us. Just was surprised that they have the tallest receivers in the ACC. They actually ranked 2nd in overall size in the ACC behind Miami.

Like they ask "does size matter"? I sure don't know but thought it was interesting, that's why I wished they included average speed for the positions since that may matter just as much, if not more.

What's Brisly, 5'9"? I'll take a dozen like him.

It ain't the size of the dog in the fight, it's the size of the fight in the dog.

Size matters if you're a 180 pound NT facing a 310 pound guard. Otherwise? Not so much. Way too many other variables.
