Dome Looked GREAT on TV !

Watched the game here in Raleigh on ESPN3 and have to say the ribbon board makes the Carrier Dome look terrific. Very impressed with the immediate visual impact. Wonder if it is as impressive live and in person? I have read all about the attendance concerns. Just wanted to acknowledge the visual upgrade. On TV/Internet the Dome looks first rate in IMHO. Now lets beat Minny and get even at 2-2.

At the Northwestern game I thought the new upgrades looked great in person. The ribbon boards are used mainly for advertising which is fine, that makes sense. The 2 new jumbo boards are very nice and do pretty much what the old video boards did. Not much new but just a nicer, bigger, more clear picture obviously

The bigger and brighter scoreboard/replay boards are a thumbs up.

The ribbon boards and "new" wireless service are thumbs down. Yet are promoted by SU as improving the fan experience. Just more SU speak. Let's hope they figure it out soon.

There was a huge upgrade in use of the ribbon boards yesterday. We had out of town scores throughout the entire game. And they seemed to be real time scores. Very nice.

Plus the ads werent as obnoxious as the first week.

Now if we can add game stars we'd be all set.

I have seen the cel phone service improve a lot this year. Of course I don't know how it will be with 45 or 50k there. But so far much better than past years.

The ribbon lighting was much improved. They moved the scoreboards to all four corners, ran in game stats, and out of town scores. They even had the words to the alma mater on the ribbon lighting prior to and after the game.

Don't know if you gave Verizon but it was still poor. Last year could hardly ever get 3g and the wireless was always dropping. This tear I can get onto 3g but it stops every 3 minutes as does the wireless.

Great. Didn't notice those, though the out of town scores and set scoreboards were a nice turn in the right direction.

I always send a few txt messages during the game . No calls. Previous years texts would never go through. This year, it's been much better.

Texts are marginally better but that's not the same as getting an internet connection which is still poor ar least it is on Verizon

At one point they were running the text on ribbon board from left to right again. I get woozy when they do that. But overall, i think the place looks great.

The in-game stats were late getting updated, and I still miss the end of each quarter recap.

But if you tweet something to #orangenation it'll end up on the ribbon board. At least the "tamer" comments will.
