Dome tech upgrades

i hope they found someone who knows how to run it.. the same technology existed with the old board and they never used that with much success.
 
WIll mr. Excitement sound better with these boards? Ha
 
Can't wait till we see the Shell Game Video on commercial break just before the game deciding 4th and 2 from the 3 yard line.

They really gotta get rid of the kiss cam. That is so played out.

Get a kid from the newhouse school have him roam around the dome with a mic and a camera man during the game breaks. Talk to fans, play trivia with them, get kids on the jumbo tron...get interactive. He can also read Live Ads so the sponsors are happy. Nobody will lose any money. Something. But the Subway race, Kiss Cam, KEY Bank whatever gimmick they got, enough. Time to mix it up and change it!

Agreed. Hearing the song "Kiss me" booming through the stadium doesn't really do wonders for having an imposing atmosphere.

Maybe they could replace it with a dome dog hot dog eating contest between 2 randomly selected fans while playing powerman 5000... or a fan vs fan boxing match w/ those giant inflatable gloves while playing Prodigy. The 2nd option would be awesome if Jon Jones showed up.

Or the kiss cam as half the audience screws it up and just points at the screen when there on it.

The kiss cam is useless and the couples they pick out normally ignore it anyway so our fanbase looks ed. They really need to dump it.

Jake has been on kiss cam so much, I think he appears on IMDB.

I have a feeling I'm going to leave one of these games and go right to Goldberg's and buy a couch.

I like the idea of trivia popping up during breaks. The questions could even be sponsored.
 
a guy going around with a microphone seems too much like a minor league hockey team stunt...( Crunch does it ) Honestly it feels odd when they are doing it. Although I am willing to sit through ANYTHING as long as they stop letting the ed cheerleaders try and show fans how to cheer...talk about bush league.

Most NFL stadiums I have been to have a local sports guy or some hot chick weather girl from a local news station do this. SU has the Newhouse school and could just give those kids an opportunity honestly and not even have to pay someone. Give a kid a mic and let him go around the Dome during breaks. I mean do trivia, do stuff with kids, read some live adds...keep it light. Keep it movin. Be interactive.

The wandering through the stands with a microphone is pretty bush-league; worse still is their practice of putting random fans (who often don't know how to speak into a microphone) on the air and assaulting everyone's ear drums.

The best way to use video boards is for replays. Trivia is acceptable. Everything else is awful.

It'll be nice to have a clearer view of the video, but I'm not kidding myself - this upgrade won't improve the game atmosphere for the average fan. SU is going to bombard us with more advertising and minor-league antics than ever before.
 
All they need to do is play upbeat music, put the cameras on people having fun (especially the students), and be done with it.

Play music the college kids like. Their excitement is most important. A dome foam chugging contest would work too.

Problem is as soon as they play music that's when the band starts playing and you got dueling noise and it all sounds like crap. Either the band plays and there is no pumped in music. Or when you pump in music the band sits there and stays quiet! You can't have both playing at the same time. These are long games and enough time for both!
