Man this guy would be such an asset to the Syracuse football program. He's probably too deep into his work in Jacksonville where he's doing a lot of good in the community.

Sat behind him at the USC game, he was all smiles and handshakes rooting for Cuse. Seems like a great guy, couldn't agree more, would love to see him back in Syracuse.

He would also be a tremendous recruiting asset, both in South Jersey and the northeastern corner of Florida. He'd have instant credibility both as a coach and a recruiter. He reminds me a lot of Brian Dawkins.

Plus, he's always been a wonderful ambassador for the 'Cuse.

Darius is the new Rob Moore. A Syracuse great we'd allll love to see back as a coach.

More realistically, we need coaches with experience, some proven experience and a lot of promise. Don't care if they were born or played in the 315...just want coaches who can reel 'em in and coach them up.

Darius seems like a guy to recruit to the community moreso than the football program. Nothing wrong with that, of course.

When I was still a young lad I took my future bride, who hates sports in general, down to Jacksonville on 1-1-96. People talk about the 2 TD to Marvin Harrison and the 41 points, but the play of the game was made on a 4th and 2.

They pitched it and I thought that surely their guy had the angle and was gonna make it and then #20 flew into the play and had a huge hit for no gain.

I will never forget that immediately after that hit my babe said, in reference to an earlier conversation on the drive down wherein we discussed football terms, "was that a slobberknocker honey?"

Yes, Yes it was.

Now, can he coach? IDFK. :noidea:

But he could hit, of that I am sure.
