Sorry if someone else already posted this, but this bit of news is interesting on two fronts. One, SU finally gets someone with development experience back in Athletics, and 2) this job was never officially posted at SU, so my sources think it's an appointment coming from Syverud's staff.

I hope Wishart is able to also get some movement going to get that track project started before too long.

He doesn't thank Kent in his lists of thank yous, so I'd guess he wasn't a chancellor appointment, but good need none the less.

Pretty sure the design process for the track is happening as I believe a RFP was out not long ago.

Interesting he was at Auburn about 5-6 years ago...Coach Fox was there at the time. This bodes well for the Track and XC Teams.

I think Wishart ran under Fox at SU, but I agree it does bode well for those teams. No reason why SU waited to do anything on the track until the IPF began. They should have used that 9 months to get started on a new facility.

This is what I have wanted for a while. Someone with actual experience in fundraising. If this is the new Chancellor this is very good to see he gets it.

You're right...time flies...Fox has been here since 2005. Coach Fox I assumed helped him land a grad position at Auburn.
