Double Shulmans

Because Comcast/ACC generally screws me for TV on game days, I find myself streaming the WAER feed more than the Matt Parks feed. I like the WAER kids and am always amazed at how good they are. I have found that they use fewer clichés, are not afraid to point out something stupid that may have just happened, and in general pretty professional. They also rarely make me wonder what the score is.

I'm the same way.
I listen to AER any time I don't have TV access.
Sometimes I even put them on and turn down the sound if there's an awful ACC PBP team.
The minute or so time delay is annoying...but it's good to know what happened before it did. :)

Funny...the one criticism I do have is that sometimes they don't give the score when I want it.

It was Orange great Marty Glickman whose mantra was to give the time and score after every basket for radio PBP.

I think that's really neat.
My local TV station (WBOC on Delmarva) serves as a small entry market that employees a lot of recent Newhouse grads (most of whom are pretty good and move on to larger markets).

If Ben is anywhere near as good as his dad, he’ll have an outstanding career!
Even if he isn't the name recognition will at least get him a shot somewhere.

I saw Park in the background today. Starting to pack on the lbs.

Dan Schulman is so much better than Corey Alexander - Corey likes to hear himself talk without adding a whole lot to actual coverage of the game.

The name won't get him a job.
It may get him auditions and get him heard.
But every year WAER turns out people who get good PBP jobs.
