His best friend was Rob Edson, a great person and a person who was uniformly respected. He resurrected the program - he did it quickly and he got us two bowl wins in four years. He was great. Scott Shafer is a great person. I'm rooting for him as hard as anybody. And I am hopeful that he will succeed. But last year was an utter disaster - it was a three win season and should have been a two win season. And Coach Shafer did not perform his role as HC effectively. [/QUOTE]
