Doug Marrone will attend media day as the dean of Big East coaches

Expect to see more and more blog content vs articles in the paper. Pretty steady stream the last couple of days.

Rahme's back from lacrosse. There's your difference in coverage. He does a really, really good job.

The Big East is a stepping stone league now for football. With luck, in a handful of years, their programs will be at the level of a slightly better version of the MAC conference.

Don't underestimate the MAC.

The BE has been a stepping stone for some now.

Think about the quality coaches who have left the conference: D'Antonio, Kelly, Petrino, Edsall, Todd Graham, Rodriguez, Schiano, et al.

That has been one of the problems for the league - lack of stability.

If the original BE had stayed together - with the coaches - it would have been a heck of a football conference from Miami to Boston.

Schiano? Quality coach? :noidea:

Looking at that list, lots of controversial departures.

Can't stand him, hope he runs the table backwards in TB and goes 0-fer the season, but I have to admit a little glimmer of respect when he signed Eric LeGrand to a contract.

Not sure he's a good coach, but he knows how to sell snake oil.
