I'd highly recommend everyone stay off Twitter or Facebook w/ columnists right now...Syracuse fans will not win the battle of the public right now. Nor should we/they.

Not to defend Doyle because he's generally an ass, but if you read his entire feed he's not comparing JB to JoePa, really, he's more outraged by JB for going after the victims so aggressively, which Doyle thinks could intimidate other sexual abuse victims to keep their mouths shut in the future. I can't say I totally disagree with him on that point, really. Just zero tact by JB, even though he was just sticking up for a friend.

Doyel is right, and we all agree JB should never have said that. JB knows he should never have said that. But in real life people aren't perfect. In my opinion his comments were unfortunate but are not a fireable offense. Also, in my opinion, Doyel's column is incredibly condescending.

Where exactly in that column did he say SU is not PSU? I see three PSU references. He likened anyone who might think JB shouldn't be fired to people who are in favor of child molesters. I read that. He's incredibly condescending, but that's his style. He seems to believe that if you don't see things as he does that you simply lack the mental capacity to do so.
