There was never this much of an issue with the faceoff 20, 30, 40 years ago. An oh by way, make the heads wider and maybe you won't have one kid dominate so much where the ball is pinched and he's able to drag it around and up off the ground. That might be the single biggest issue/detriment to the face off being the stick head.
