Of course they aren't REALLY afraid, but you have to think that on the heels (no pun) of this Austin Rivers-led, no offensive chemistry team, they see dog fights coming at the top in the near future.  They got bullied by Fla St and Miami.  UNC has more talent.  Adding SU and Pitt puts much more pressure on them now.  No more coasting.

I don't see our recruiting, name, or anything else diminishing with this move (in bball).  We have TGD doing our marketing in power areas all over the country.  He'll continue to put the pressure on the BE in NYC now that we have Duke and UNC as draws to CNY.  In turn, the ACC will start upping their advertising in NYC, and they can't do that very well without mentioning SU and Pitt in the same breath.

That NC State game this season was a sign of the coming bball apocalypse to the old entrenched ACC guard.  Cakewalks to titles are over.  The landscape is changing.  As much as we, as SU fans, fear what will happen to our brand when we join the ACC, you have fan bases over there with just as much uncertainty.  They know adding SU is at a whole different level than adding BC, Miami and VT in terms of their bball supremacy.
