You have labral tears and then you have LABRAL tears more the SLAP lesion type that can be big. You don't play through those. The smaller milder ones look like this and as many have said you can have good and bad days until post season when you might likely need to get it fixed surgically (like Terrance Roberts did with his "cartilage/meniscus" tear years back - its essentially the same stuff).
