Its scary how much they defend saying its just a football play. Respect to shafer and the team to take the high road but if im a chippewa fan i want no part of that kind of play or the possibility that the coaching staff put out a message to make sure you put dungey on the ground given how much he is impacting the game. We will likely never know if 44 was following instructions or just took it upon himself to throw a cheap shot but that was just a disgraceful play. I do not agree that if this was an SU lineman who hit cmu that many of us would excuse it.
