He did look slower. I think he has a shoulder injury. He looks off.Idk. It’s almost like he’s being so careful to put touch on the ball and make a perfect throw he’s underthrowing it. Like playing cornhole. Noticed he was throwing off his back foot to. Doesn’t step into passes. It was hard for me to think he has an arm injury because it looked like a lot of his throws last year. If he stepped into the butler throw and led him it might be 6.
I personally thought he looked slower running today than normal. Like running in sand.
Its as plain as day that Eric is hurt. He was "shot putting" his throws. It looks as if the shoulder injury Bees has mentioned is significant.
Clemson is not a good team, They are a super elite team with talent equal to Alabama and Ohio State.I think good teams are going to follow the same plan. Beat us with your arm not your legs. His footwork and mechanics yesterday were not great. Consistent throws is not his greatest gift.

You may be right but I am thinking the opposite. They aren't as good as the National Championship team. Bryant was a significant step down from Watson, which is why Dabo went with Lawrence. Without an elite QB you can't get into playoffs.Clemson is not a good team, They are a super elite team with talent equal to Alabama and Ohio State.
I agree. He just looks weird out there most of the time lately. Sloppy footwork, inaccurate short throws, hes not 100% for sure. Love the guy but wondering if we see TD next week to let him rest up.Eric is a winner plain and simple but he has always had a weak arm and isn’t very accurate. This arm injury thing is definitely showing the weak aspects in his game.
Yep, they put a "spy" him the entire game and let their elite Dline create havoc...and for the most part, it worked.I think you guys are right and I suspect Clemson thought so as well. They basically took him out of the run game with a spy and they didn't make the mistake of letting their pass rush get pushed past him.
He had 11 yards on 13 carries. They obviously were willing to let him pass but not run. He got stuffed on every designed run.
The quick out is not his best throw but he doesn't throw it in the dirt.
Something is not quite right.
Syracuse is a very, very good team. They would have beat Syracuse with Kelly as their starter and they would have gone undefeated to the playoffs with him as their starter and that's the point Dabo should have been prepping Lawrence to be ready for. Slayton and company are some hard men to start a skinny little freshman against. You may be right but I am thinking the opposite. They aren't as good as the National Championship team. Clemson is not the explosive threat they have been in past years.
Not sure I would say it exactly that way. Dungey ran well against them last year. They changed their scheme to deal with his running ability (but that plan only works if you have an elite secondary). Not exactly transferable to any other ACC team.Eric looked slower because Clemson is so much faster and athletic compared to the teams we played the first four weeks. That includes FSU.
Exactly. If you can't play cover zero, don't try it!Yep, they put a "spy" him the entire game and let their elite Dline create havoc...and for the most part, it worked.
Thankfully, no team left on the schedule, with the possible exception of ND, has the personnel to successfully implement the same plan.
