General manager Phil Emery pledged to expand the Chicago Bears' front office staff, and an NFL
source told the Tribune that Dwayne Joseph, a former Bears cornerback and director of player development for the organization, is expected to return after eight seasons with the Miami Dolphins
Joseph served as a pro scout and assistant director of pro personnel for the Dolphins and is expected to work on the pro side for the Bears.
Joseph signed with the Bears as an undrafted free agent in 1994 and played in all 16 games the next season. He was on injured reserve in 1996 before being released in 1997. He then transitioned into a role as the director of player development and was well liked within the organization. Joseph was a team captain at Syracuse, where he received a degree in human development. The Miami native picked up a master’s degree in education from DePaul.
