Eamonn Brennan's Wooden Award rankings...

Marcus Smart
I thought of him and decided no. More talented athletically and physically no doubt. But not a better player. More goes into than physical ability. Ennis is the driving force at the helm of what I believe is the best team in the country. If we win it all it will be because he made it so. I have never seen someone as in control that helps calm this team. Dude is miyagi.

Smart/Ennis

TS% .580/.523
AST% 25.9/30.5
STL% 5.0/5.2
TOV% 16.5/9.3
USG% 29.4/19.8

Ennis has been terrific, but cj has made some big shots down the stretch in games and has played very good with a lot of teams defenses attention on him. I still think a lot of those who aren't keeping him their top 5 are really undervaluing his worth and importance to this undefeated cuse team.

I don't think smart would give the cuse the type of game that Ennis does. I like how Ennis gets others involved, understands time and score, and gets plays set up. He plays at a special tempo that really brings balance to this team. He doesn't need to score like smart would try to score on this cuse team.

Smart is a pretty sharp player (was gonna use smart, didn't want to). I don't know that we can predict how he would play on any team other than the one he is on
