I love the full-throated "he's not coming back" from guys with no inside info whatsoever. I have no inside info at all - and I rightly don't have a clue what will happen. Seems like the only reasonable expectation at this point.

Not being negative I just don't believe he will ever make it back. We have Wilson and Long in the program and should offer another QB in this class and we will have a 5th year senior in Hunt next year. There are some irons in the fire.

He would be foolish not to come to Syracuse University at this point.
The season thus far has made clear that a skilled dual purpose QB can play immediately for a high profile ACC team.
The school that almost created the dual purpose QB.

He looks like Kaepernick when he runs. Long strides. Perfect fit for the read option… if he can throw the ball well, he will be very, very successful here.

a. I will most likely get immediate playing time
b. Shafer made a change when one needed to be made, without waffling along the rest of the season
c. Was McDonald cut out to be a good OC? He may be a great recruiter but not much points to the guy being a great OC.
He says he's still committed, I'm going to take his word for it.

100% agree. For now, Edouard has said - CONSISTENTLY - he's going to be coming to SU. He still tweets about SU frequently.
Let's not call the kid a liar because we're that freaking cynical as fans.

I'm probably in the minority but I think it sucks that syracuse.com decided to contact this kid to get his opinion on McDonald's situation. I really feel it wasn't necessary but more for one of those click bait stories that they love to do. And then to ask him what his personal issues were on why he wasn't on campus. It's just really poor form on Chris Carlson's part
