A few days ago I posted the Elite Eight record of all the major players in college basketball. Here's the update including this year:
Below is the Elite Eight record - how many times a school made it to at least the E8 - of all the Big 6 conference schools plus 5 schools from lesser leagues. The first column is the number of E8s each school reached in the modern era (1985 - 2013, 29 years). The second column is the number of E8s each school reached since 2000 (2000 - 2013, 14 years). The third column is the number of E8s each school reached since the Big East went to 16 schools (2006 - 2013, 8 years). I've included the last two columns because recent results are more important than older data. {NOTE1: Some schools had a few E8s vacated for various reasons but I counted them anyway.) (NOTE2: The below info has nothing to do with Final Fours or National Championships, it only shows how many times a school made it past the Sweet Sixteen.) (NOTE3: Up until 2012, Texas A&M and Missouri were in the Big 12 and WV was in the Big East so I left them there - since none of them made it to the E8 this year, their 2013 NCAAT results do not affect the info.)

Since the Big East and ACC last expanded in 2005-2006, the BE has had 8 different schools combine for 15 Elite Eights - truly remarkable. During this same time period, the ACC has done the worst of any conference (even worse than the Pac 12) with only 2 schools able to make it to the Elite Eight.
