I was watching the pilot the other day. I watched the show a ton. I don't recall the pilot at all. I doubt it has been in most of the re-run cycles

I didn't realize all the ill - will between all the leads. they changed a ton in the show when the real episodes started

But I was watching, and Dixie gets hurt and they are having the TALK to Rampart, and they said 30yr old female injured.

I was thinking she wasn't that young though she played young in the show.. She was almost 50.

Married to Jack Webb before Bobby Troup which was interesting since they always had her flirting with Dr Bracket and not her real life husband, Probably because he looked 10 yrs older than he was and she looked younger than she was

Dixie was supposed to have been a nurse in the Korean War.

That made her in her early 40's.

Never watched the show once when it was on live tv. Now, it's on METV and I watch it every day. I enjoy it. And the idea was that the fireman wanted to be fireman, not wanna be docs and the docs didn't want amateurs doing their job. That changed when they found that they were saving lives.
