Watching the way Ennis moves, and thinking about his build and the way he plays, it struck me that there's a player I think he could end up comparing to down the road...

Deron Williams

Deron is probably a little more athletic, in terms of vertical, but other than that...anyone else see that as a possible comparison?

Good comparison. Both are fairly shifty in the lane and seem to get good shots off under duress.

I'm one of the biggest DWill fans out there and always hoped that BTriche would evolve into him but didn't. The biggest comparison is that both seem to always be in control. DWill could always take over a game, like the Pearl, and is a good long range shooter which we really haven't seen yet from Ennis.

Lets hope your comparison is right and that Ennis has as successful career as DWill.

The thing with D-Will is that he really developed his shot a TON once he got to the league. He was a good shooter in college, for sure. But basically I'm talking about how he's deceptively quick, great vision, similar build (though obviously Williams is bulkier, but again, that comes with being in his late 20s as opposed to 18 like Ennis), and so forth. It just struck me that he has a certain similarity in the way he operates on the court.

That was the exact comparison I gave a while back of who he reminded me of. In some ways I see some j-kidd in him as well

I had the SU game on my PC while watching the Nets game, and came to the same exact comparison, especially when they both ripped awesome passes for easy dunks (Rakeem/Blatche) within a few minutes of each other from the same spot on the court.

Absolutely yay. I couldn't think of a good comparison, but you definitely did. Dwill is def. a Tyler on steroids type.

Good comparison and the only thing I see different is that Ennis is more involved in getting his teammates shots while DW looks more to shoot first. It's a tricky thing for point guards, you take your shot and no one else touches the ball and Ennis seems to be content to let the teammates be the scorers. The key and it's a hard thing for PG's to learn is the context of taking that shot or drive. Ennis is a bright minded basketball kid and I like what I see from him, a lot. But, I am very curious on how he is regarding the flow of the game and when he takes his shots, especially when things are not going well offensively.

My comparison is from 2 things I have seen to date:
1. His ability to go into the lane, disappear in a crowd, and emerge with a layup of some sort
2. Outside shot needs work.

Reminds me of Dwayne Washington
(DWill had a decent shot as an undergrad. I remember him shooting Illinois back into the NC game against UNC.)

I've always said Edelin. But I can see a Mark Jackson.

He reminds me of Tyler Ennis. All players are different.

Right. So the English language can do away with the word "comparison," then. Saves us all some time.
