on this team. He may feel more comfortable as a distributor/facilitator, but given our current offensive options, we need him to score. Cooney is obviously a great shooter, and Fair has a nice mid-range game, but Ennis is the only guy capable of breaking his man down off the dribble and getting into the lane. We don't have a post presence. If opposing defenses are going to faceguard Cooney, and double Fair, Ennis needs to make them pay by putting the ball in the basket, and being our 2nd or 3rd option.

It feels like Ennis and the staff are learning this more and more as the season progresses. Unbelievable performance today from the smartest frosh PG I've ever seen in a Cuse uniform (was really young when Sherm was in charge, so I defer to my elders on that).

I remember watching SU-Seton Hall in the Meadowlands during Pearl's Jr (and last) year. We were blowing them out, as usual. And in garbage time, freshman Sherman Douglas was put in. He darted all over the floor, tried to force passes, turned the ball over. I turned to my buddy and said, "I'm gonna hate this kid." :bang:

I learned that day never to judge freshman harshly.

lol, I remember that game, as well. I was wondering who the little scutterbug was. He ended up being pretty good.
