Also you are missing my point that the comments are viewed by the general public through the lens of his reputation as established by the media and his many years of words and actions.  this stuff does matter to kids being recruited to pretend otherwise is to be willfully ignorant.   A tiny seed of doubt that says to a kid 'will this guy really have my back???'...that's enough to tip a decision and rightfully so.    Following this team as closely as most of us do, we KNOW how supportive he is of his players and former players...but not everyone can see that.
