Those are all EXCUSES and there are no acceptable excuses when you're [I]lucky[/I] to finish 3-9 instead of what you should've been, 2-10.  Excuses are for losers.  All coaches face various adversities during the course of a season.  Good coaches overcome them and win in spite of them.  Bad coaches, unable to combat the adversities they face, succumb to them and lose.  Like GRob before him, Shafer is a bad head coach and we are now back to being perceived as a losing program.

The question is, do we want add to that perception by bringing Shafer back for what is almost certain to be another losing season?  Or do we show that we are seriously committed to being a winning program, correct the Shafer mistake and hire someone who can get the job done?
