man was he great and how crazy is it that Buffalo had an NBA team. McAdoo, Ernie D, Jimmy McMillen. Tons of big names (Dantley, Moses etc) went thru. Too bad they couldn't hold on until magic and Bird came into the league.

They had some good teams in the mid-70s for Jack Ramsay and really held their own in a tough division. Randy Smith, Gar Heard, Jack Marin were nice players too.
