It puts a little more pressure on the team to do well vs. NW if it means that they'll get to play nationally on ABC at 330 the following week. If they can pull out a 2-3 TD win (which, who knows, it could happen), it'll make the USC game that much more intriguing to schedulers.

I was looking at week 2 schedule there are only going to be two higher profile games than ours. Florida@Texas A&M (A&M's 1st SEC game) and Washington@LSU. Gameday is probably going to be at A&M's first SEC game. If we were able to beat Northwestern and ESPN gave our program even an ounce of respect (which we don't deserve but it doesn't stop them from giving other programs respect) College Gameday could have been at the USC game. Mike and Mike in the Morning and Colin Cowherd will be broadcasting their Friday radio shows from Metlife Stadium.
