To save you all from reading Woj who appears to have not actually watched the game (states prison wardens would make the inmates watch this, wonder what he thinks of Big 10 football in November then) it basically says Cuse is terrible and that USC was sleepwalking through the entire game. Gives a sliver of credit to Nassib saying he's not a schlub. Nice backhand Woj!

On Sportscenter that night after the game, they showed the highlights which was all USC. Then after they showed the simply uttely amazing ( ) Barkley stat of 6 TD passes. Then they put up the stat that Nassib was 1-5 with an interception on 3rd downs in the first half. Then finally ended with Woods' stats. I'm thinking that a UConn grad put that all together.

At least on the College Football Final there were a couple Cuse highlights and they stated that we played much better than most people thought we would have.

That's the problem with having 124 D1 teams. There's so many teams to cover. ESPN and other outlets seem to try to appeal to the casual fan and cover the Top 25 almost exclusively.

There's two huge problems with this approach.

First, there's no such thing as a casual college football fan. We all know what's going on nationally, but only 20% of fan bases are represented.

Second, there's this weird perception that Top 25 teams will always be in the Top 25, while bad teams will always be bad. It's part ring kissing and part laziness on the part of the national media.

But on the bright side, there's some serious bulletin board material coming out of this.

Woj was actually at our game Saturday but clearly was too focused on USC and how they didn't steamroll us by 50.

He was there? And wrote that? He is a journalist, correct? I thought he was filling out a madlibs. The same one they have had since they ran that piece during the Grob years in which Jim Brown said he was embarrassed of the team.

It was written for ESPN Los Angeles. It's always going to be in favor of USC.

Eh, we've lost 7 in a row, calling it our Super Bowl considering our national rep at the moment (and for the past decade) seems fair sadly.

It's time to change that perception though - we gotta win some games though.

Agree. If you're not top-25, you are irrelevant. IRRELEVANT. (unless u are ND or involved in a scandal-type scenario)
