Was hoping someone could help me here. For the second time this year I’ve signed up for ESPN Plus (I have COX) to get SU games. For the second time now it says the content is unauthorized...blah blah blah. I’ve cancelled twice now. Does anyone have any idea why I can’t stream on my iPad? I’ve logged out of my ESPN acct multiple times and my provider is listed as Cox. Any ideas?

I have the same issue. What a racket. I had to sign up for youtube tv and I got the game. It makes no sense to me how they can show it but Comcast and ESPN won’t even let you pay for ESPN+ to see it. Short answer is that Cox doesn’t have an agreement to carry ACC Network, so it’s restricted even on ESPN+ which I have no idea what it has to do with Cox. They must think it provides leverage at our cost. What I can tell ya is it just pushes me towards cord cutting even more now that I know YouTube TV at 50 a month gives me what I need and a DVR. Rant over...

ESPN+ does not give you access to normal ESPN content. It gives you the ability to see sports content from outside the US, access to streaming content from fringe US conferences like the Ivy League and the AAC, etc. You will almost never see Syracuse play a game using ESPN+.

If you want access to normal ESPN content, hook up with one of the TV providers that has a contract with ESPN/Disney, or stream from one of the streaming providers that has a contract with Disney. This includes YouTubeTV, Hulu, Sling and for a while longer, Playstation Vue.

if you dont get Acc network on your cable plan then you wont most likely get AccX.

Espn+ as Tomcat says is a different add on for additional channels. You need a cable/sat/streaming plan to get acc network not just an internet plan.

From what I've read, it looks like the best content on ESPN + are the 30 for 30s. Other than that, it seems like it's all the stuff not good enough for any of their other channels.

for me I get nothing for being a good Xfinity/ Comcast customer. The explanation is that until ACCN has a more reasonable price for content they are not providing anything and I should call ACCN and complain which is ludicrous because Comact owns NBC and many other things they are rolling in $ and won't broadcast football / basketball which of course leaves me able to watch nothing until they come to some kind of agreement.

Dump the cable and just go with the xfinity for your internet. Subscribe to hulu live or youtubeTV, where you get pretty much every channel (including local networks) but PBS and Game show network. It's likely cheaper than the cable package.

I use ESPN+ on my Amazon Fire stick to get ACCN. At $4.99 a month its cheaper than getting the Spectrum add on at like $12 a month.

For those who don't know, Disney is going to have a bundle of Hulu, Disney+ and ESPN+

How do you get espn plus to play ufc on your tv? Anyone know? I bought the hardware that’s hooks up to your iPhone to the tv and it doesn’t work on espn plus, but everything else works.

What hardware are we talking about? An Apple TV unit?

Also, ESPN+ has been notoriously atrocious at consistently streaming ufc fights without issues.

The hdmi cable that goes from your tv to your phone. I bought it because its supposed to work, it works for everything except espn plus

That is funny, I am trying to get SEC+ to work with ATT Uverse on espn, and get the same issue as OP. ATT says we have no agreement with SEC Network yet, Only COX does.

I think ESPN/Disney restricts that method of streaming. Been a while since I’ve tried it.

If you have Disney+, you could try using that method and see if you have the same problem. Assuming it’s not one of the other ones you tried. This would indicate if it’s a Disney thing for all their apps.

If it is prohibited to use an hdmi, your next solution would if course be a Roku or Firestick. I think the prices have gotten pretty reasonable.
