ESPN's #nbarank of Melo...

That certainly doesn't make sense.

That certainly doesn't make sense.
It does because the rankings are mostly a "what have you done lately" for veterans.

what matters now is his #rank next year

Right. I'm surprised people didn't expect him to drop after having a semi-down year coupled with the fact that he missed somewhere between 30-40 games.

It's the old what have you done for me lately mentality. He played injured the first half of the season last year and missed all of the second half. If/when Melo performs at his old level, he'll be viewed in his accustomed place among the talking heads.

Where do they have Derek -im injured all year every year- Rose? That could squash the theory of Melo being out hurting his ranking. The fact is there is alot of hate of Melo across media.

They're stupid and they will eat their words. He will be the same player he's always been and will challenge for the scoring title.

These idiots ranked Joakim Noah #11 last year and he's not even a starter anymore. Too many NBA writers are outthinking themselves in trying to come up with something these days. Just watch the games and stop being stupid.
