from today. That might explain why coaches like JAB plays the people he thinks will give him the best chance to win. #Nevergiveup

26!

We have shooters. Allegedly. Having guys who can get them open…we’ll that’s the tricky part.

Miami was also playing at home.
Of course that comes into play but successful coaches feel they can win every game they are in and we have all seen enough sports in our lifetimes to see some unbelievable things that shouldn't and couldn't happen but they do.

I don't doubt it. I just don't think that is quite so applicable at this point for JB and SU. For certain the talent was here to make it happen just 10 years ago.

Did anyone really think we had a prayer against Duke? They’re a horrible matchup for us.

We can compete with everyone else in the league.

Miami was down 51-34 with about ten minutes left and came back to lose 61-60.

Top 10 programs don’t “compete”. Give me a break, this is a flaming bag of crap we’re watching.
I’ll give you a better response than the one I just deleted.

You’re right, this team wasn’t constructed to reflect our reputation. Did you listen to Juli’s interview today? JB wanted to coach his sons and be competitive. IMO he’s earned that after everything he’s done for the program.

I’m a Cardinals fan. I was willing to sacrifice one season so McGwire could chase Maris. They weren’t trying to make the playoffs and it was obvious. Similar situation here. One year for JB to try and make the tournament coaching his sons. It’s not going to destroy the program.

Say whatever you want. We still had a chance to beat Miami on the road and to sweep FSU. We should have beat Wake on the road. Today was an outlier. We were intimidated playing VCU in the Bahamas. We had no chance against Duke at Cameron. And it won’t be much better when we play them at the Dome. We should be in most of our other games, though.

What are your thoughts on us potentially running it back with the Boeheim boys next year?

I would have much more leeway for JB if this really was a one year thing. Honestly, I’d prob get frustrated but shrug and say oh well.

But this has been building for years.

That’s my issue.

And what he did to make *this* team happen is unacceptable, imo. To then throw Jesse and Benny, etc, under the bus in the media after he built this team this way, that isn’t ok.

Now, others may find it perfectly fine for the time at SU to do this. I don’t.

Who are you? Where’s Day2, and what have you done with his body? :(

Notably thin-skinned Jim Boeheim, the guy who’s notroriously competetitive, the guy who treats games in November exactly as he treats games in March, is gonna walk away if he has a losing record.

Plausible imo.

We’ll see. Your perspective is one way of looking at it. Here’s mine: He’s never had a losing season. If it happens, he’ll know how much he failed. He’ll know that’s the sign it’s time to hang ‘em up.

But yeah, there’s the argument that he’ll double down and run it back with the same group to prove everyone wrong. That wouldn’t surprise anyone.

I looked - that starting 5 has a serious lack of Larrañaga's in it #maniac
