We have one running play.

Dive option.

In this can’t lose play the QB has the option of handing off to the running back or keeping it themselves. So really there are two running plays in one!

I watched some other college games yesterday. Some other teams do one of two things.

1. The QB actually keeps it and runs.
2. They have other plays! Like lots of them.

If TD is too hurt to keep then we need to stop running this play.
At this point in the season we are what we are. Going in I though the G-C-G combo of Davis- heckel-Adams could be road graders. Heckel has been out but even during the limited time against liberty there were no signs of this happening.

Bear with some logic for a sec. So if you can’t control the line of scrimmage how can you have a dive play be the only running play you have?!!

What happened to the off tackle wham they would run last year from under center? Although I have to say this play became pretty predictable too because they would only run it short yardage and it was the only play they did out of this formation. Or the jet sweep? Would it hurt to run a few jet sweeps a game? We make things really easy for the linebackers and safeties. Everything is north south with no east west changes in vision they have to make.

God forbid we run cutbacks or counters to take advantage of over pursuit.

You don’t even have to be an offensive genius. You can just watch any game on yesterday and copy what they did if you are out of ideas. Or even watch a high school game. Even Section 3 class c teams have more running plays.

I’ve been banging this drum all year long. I feel like there are 11 guys in on the tackle on our easy to read, slow developing,no deception run plays.

I forgot about the delayed draw also which lured the defender right to the running back

Wow there is no need to start making smart and intellectual play calls. We actually might get some yards. Lol
