I saw it too in his presser - surprised me about the vibe I got. I get it though, some very competitive coaches just have a tough time with pressers after losses - maybe that’s what I sensed or maybe I’m trying to find an excuse.I can see why there are Big East fans that don't like Cooley
We need more of this type of content. Fans will eat it up, more social media will help recruiting, the brand, etc.

I feel like he's trying to bring that tough-guy edge back to Georgetown, and I'm all for it as long as Syracuse trends up and it reignites this rivalry.I saw it too in his presser - surprised me about the vibe I got. I loved his "get us now" line like he's been bagging championships wherever he's been.I feel like he's trying to bring that tough-guy edge back to Georgetown, and I'm all for it as long as Syracuse trends up and it reignites this rivalry.
I guess according to the couple of Hoya fans, Mintz said something to Cooley and was chirping throughout the game. I saw where the refs did talk to him but an SU fan who attended the game said it happened a couple of times but Mintz really didn’t stop. He thought Cooley might have been upset at Mintz talking to him and the bench. ???I feel like he's trying to bring that tough-guy edge back to Georgetown, and I'm all for it as long as Syracuse trends up and it reignites this rivalry.

Roadkill. That was great! What did the team yell at the end of “1, 2, 3?”

Judahs not afraid to chirp and it tends to happen almost every game. I think he does it to hype himself up a little bit. My guess is it’s in response to the bench either saying he’s going to miss an open shot or complaining about a foul call.I am pretty sure I saw JM talking in their bench's direction after the game too or at least towards the end. He talks a lot.
What? Genuinely not sure what you are asking me. I never said I had any issue with anything that came out of his mouth. Not sure how anything can be taken from my post other than what it explicitly said.Really? Isn't that exactly how you want a rival coach to act? I fell in love with the guy (love to hate him, but still).
It sure seems like he understands the rivalry and is playing it up.
What did he say? They came in very excited to play Georgetown as everyone should be ... something like that. I mean that's straight out of the John Thompson playbook
He knows it's good for Georgetown to have a strong rivalry with SU, and it's great for SU as well. I hope Autry gets takes his lead and goes along with it.
My thought while watching his presser was that he knows very well how John Thompson talked, and he wants to carry the torch. Agreed bringing this rivalry back to relevancy is good for Syracuse, and stuff like that doesn't hurt. No doubt we'll all hate him in due time, but that's the sign of a well-played villain.Really? That makes sense. I think I saw some interaction on tv. Mintz and these guys like to talk. They have that dog in them. The only thing is that refs don’t like that stuff especially after they talk to the player. The person I spoke to thought Mintz was called for his 5th shortly after being warned again by the ref and he thought it brought on a more direct warning by calling what he thought was a phantom 5th foul to get rid of him. Talking to the opponent’s bench and coach is especially frowned upon considered as taunting by refs worried about melees. I hate to say I didn’t get a close look at his 5th to see if it was phantom and the ultimate final warning as I was told. That makes sense. I think I saw some interaction on tv. And any player who did that against us would be skewered by this board. It’s bush league and Judah needs to quit it.The only thing is that refs don’t like that stuff especially after they talk to the player. Agreed - and luckily the game was won at that point, but Judah absolutely needs to be on the floor to close games and he needs to stop picking up dumb fouls. Talking less will help his case. The only thing is that refs don’t like that stuff especially after they talk to the player. Yeah but people who do it against Syracuse are clearly losers, and people who do it on behalf of Syracuse just have that dog in them -- see the difference? And any player who did that against us would be skewered by this board. It’s bush league and Judah needs to quit it.
I’m fine with yapping with other players. Coaches should be off limits. Show some respect. Until you’ve actually done something.Yeah but people who do it against Syracuse are clearly losers, and people who do it on behalf of Syracuse just have that dog in them -- see the difference?
In all seriousness I agree and he needs to reel it in, especially talking to the bench or coaches. Jabari Smith really pissed me off when he did that to JB a couple years ago during a blowout. I've never been a fan of s***-talking and I take the silent approach, but Judah's antics haven't upset me yet because I feel like the program's been lacking fire over the last few years.
