I am not sure if anyone has noticed but Fab has shot 75% (9 for 12) from the line since the start of the new year. Without anyone saying it, take a look at what he has done since he has been back. We need to get him to the line more often. IMO we need to run our offense through him more often; this gives him a chance to get to the line more often and frees up space for our outside shooters.

definitely need to have him more involved

Watched him since Arinze left,Watched it a lot especially every time an Announcer say's 55% FT. He didn't miss against G'Town. He's doing real well

It's hard to get to the line when nobody passes you the ball.

The kid has great form. Eventually he will be a threat from 12-15 feet. Maybe for us, maybe not.

Exactly. Anyone who watched clips of him from HS could see he has solid form on his jump shot, so it makes sense he'd be able to knock down some free throws. His form is far better than most big men we ever get at SU.

I wish they'd feed him much more often -- geez, this would really add a nice dimension to our half court and send him to the line (where he's been improving).

In the GT game, BT fed him early, and he blew the layup and a subsequent put-back. But that's about all he did wrong (besides try to dribble and get it picked by Clark).

Fab's getting very good position ... he seals his man, sticks that long arm out there -- all he needs is a feed thrown right to the bottom/outside corner of the backboard and our half-court just improved by 25%.

Another peeve (while I'm venting) ... I watched the GT game last night and slow-mo'd most of the rebounds. Ya know what ... there's nothing fancy. On a few plays, I saw CF fair get outmuscled for inside position. In the second half he did better -- and he had 9 boards (not bad for the weak side).

But most of it ... was just numbers. On most shots, there were at least 3-4 dark jerseys right near the backboard. We can talk about schemes, desire and positioning all we want... but GT just had more bodies on the glass. If we want to get better in this area, we have to comitt more guys. It's not rocket science.

What's rocket science is how do you send 4 after rebounds and still be America's fast break team? It would require a big change in identity.

Maybe worth it. When the other team gets all the rebounds, we're not going to be running any fast breaks.

His FT stroke is real smooth looking, looks better than Scoop's.

In regards to the half court offense, getting at least one touch from Fab done low on almost every position would help alleviate the problem we have with our half court offense. We do need to get our guards more involved with rebounding. If we still want to break out and run have one guard break out and the others crash the boards.

shhhhhhh......

Because of this post he'll go 2-8 tomorrow...

Jerk.

I'm willing to bet that G-MAC has had something to do with his improvement at the foul line. I agree with previous posters though...he always has had a nice, smooth looking stroke.

And...it's been interesting watching him shoot a few j's this year. Has not been very successful but the form is there and he's been getting deeper- took one from 17 vs. G-town. Once a couple go down I can see him taking more 10 footers and, more importantly, making them. He could be really nice at the post against a zone...if CJ isn't going to knock 'em down.
