Would it be beneficial to start Fair at this point? I think he's clearly earned it, but maybe it ultimately doesn't matter. He seems to provide a spark off the bench.

I'm not exactly sure what Christmas provides, right now.

Thanks for the diversion.
I think it is like starting Melo last year. You find some role for Christmas; you need him to work hard and get better. Maybe it happens this year; maybe not.
Fair will get lots of minutes, particularly in the second half of close games.

I would think that CJ will be moved to the starting lineup before big east play. Either that or they will keep rak in and come the second half CJ starts like he does now.

If the slow starts continue I wouldn't be averse to moving CJ in, but at this point it may pay more dividends long term to keep Rak as the starter. Our rebounding was pretty weak against Stanford at times, and if we can keep Rak interested and playing hard hopefully he can progress and offer up a bit more as the season progresses.

He's shown he has a decent skill set for a frosh (he can dunk and shoot free throws pretty well), so in spite of his no-shows in limited action the past two games, I think it's an okay move to leave him in.
