Twice in the last week I've been on the board and suddenly got switched to a fake Microsoft alert page with a dialog box telling me that I've downloaded a "pornographic" virus that wants to steal my personal information, etc. etc. (I've checked with Microsoft and it is fake.) The first time I couldn't click out of it or off the internet. I couldn't even bring up task manager. I was able to request a restart and that cleared it. i ran a scan and had no virus. The second time, tonight, I was able to click off before the dialog box popped up.

Both times I was on this site and had been on it for a while. Has anyone else had this experince?

I had it yesterday but I had several windows open so I’m nit sure what caused it. Almost impossible to get out of it. Did alt control delete for task manager to close the browser but as soon as I opened it back up it was still there. Had to do a Microsoft update that killed it.

I had it, but I don't think I was on this site. Plus I have Apple and didn't have any Microsoft windows open. I'm against the death penalty, but for stuff like this, I'm starting to reconsider...

Boy, that thing plagues me something fierce. It only happens when I'm logged into the board, so I often read the board without logging in. The only way to get it to stop is to log off of Windows and log back in. It would be great to get rid of it.

This site! The problem only happens when logged into syracusefan.com. I have to make sure I don't have polite company in the house when I read about SU sports.

Remember those self-refreshing meta loops? The only thing you could do was a force shut down.
