I enjoy watching the old prime-time quiz shows from the 50's and 60's and the parade people, many of them famous, that appeared on them in that era. They are on You-Tube. I'll begin with an obvious one:

I remember Ray Nitschke appearing following a Packer victory over the Giants in the NFL Championship Game on Dec 30 1962. Nobody knew him.
 


(He's the first guest. The Dodgers had moved to LA but had yet to play a game there.)

Four years earlier they were in New York and the Duke of Flatbush was getting cozy with Sal "The Barber" Maglie. (at the 17:15 mark)
