After beating Kansas tonight, the K-State fans covered the ENTIRE court in a matter of seconds... The K-State players fled to safety on the broadcast table where they blocked Musberger and Fraschilla from seeing anything but players' legs. Given K-State's historic record against KU, I think this court-storming was justified. I loved watching the pure joy on the part of the students.

Love seeing this. It's what college basketball is all about. As long as everyone is safe, which, er, I doubt they are

I almost always agree with you but last night was really close to getting ugly at K State. I hate to be the no fun police, and I don't think I normally am, but I could do without court stormings - particularly if the wheelchair section where I would be sitting is close to the court.

Uh oh... another court storming thread. Okay, I'll bite.

I was against it had we beat Dook BUT I'll make an exception this evening. Beat ND tonight and let's storm! ;)

There arent many more teams I'd rather see get stormed than KU...who are even worse than folks on here used to say about Duke and UNC wiping house in an otherwise weak ACC(cough) year after year. At least those 2 had a consistent rival. Storm fast, storm slow, storm in random patterns. I dont care, any storm against KU makes me happy.

It's up to K State security to cordon that area off with a human chain to protect the players and coaches. That's stupid they weren't prepared for that.

The other thing that has to happen in those situations is for the winning players to go immediately to the center of the court so that the kids that rush are attracted to them and away from the coaches. That's one of the big problems there.

Tee1222 I heard a rumor that you had the fastest "court storming" during you're time in Albany. Can you confirm or deny this please?

Wait, how did you know? That did happen when we made the D3 final four! And it happened to be fast. I swear, that's the first time that happened. ;)

I told you... I am the prophet! I see things! I see injured people!

If a brawl breaks out during a court storm I think they should go with European soccer rules, next game is played in front of empty seats. Sounds like the KU players showed a lot of restraint.

I am not against it in the right situation, but they should allow the other team to get to the locker room first.

anything blocking musberger from announcing is justified. he is a front runner in any sport ---worst sportscaster ever---bring back chris schenel

this is the fastest of all time and it can only be beaten by another syracuse game. this is as close to a fact as possible.

Keep in mind the 2 nuts rushing the court 1st (1 of which happens to be me :D) started with about 5 seconds left.

No other team in the country has the logistics to rush a court like this.

The Kansas player that got shoved in the process may disagree

The K State student who did that should be expelled if they can identify him.

I think it sets a dangerous precedent to not punish this guy severely for this. I enjoy court stormings in general, but any type of violence (even if its extremely minimal) has to be at absolute zero tolerance.

I agree. But I would ban him from the arena - not alter his life path.
