Looks like Boeheim's early career record. But he made his breakthrough 2 seasons ago. Seems like this happens to a lot of coaches who struggle advancing earlier on in their careers and then it becomes a more regular occurrence. Izzo is the exception that proves the rule.
A worse record than JB has! Impressive. I'm not trying to bash, but my god our Sweet 16 record is Pitt-like (as in, similar to our success against Pitt in the last 10 years).
I agree. I think we are still going to win in a close game but if Gonzaga only had a day and a half to prepare for us I think the result would be a larger margin of victory for Syracuse.I think our poor record in this round is because our opponent has plenty of time to prepare for the zone.
How can Few be 1-8 when he's only been to five Sweet 16's?Few is 1-8 and freaking ESPN puts JB is 6-11 in the Sweet 16.
Give me 6-11 over 1-8 all day long.
How can Few be 1-8 when he's only been to five Sweet 16's?
I wasn't sure I had it right. Seemed high. 1-4 it isHow can Few be 1-8 when he's only been to five Sweet 16's?
It seemed high, these extra rounds get me goofed upHow can Few be 1-8 when he's only been to five Sweet 16's?
Exactly -- I always feel more confident going into round of 32 games and Elite 8 games than I do in 1st round and Sweet 16 games (I think our record in these games probably backs this up). And while I think we owe UVA one and could definitely beat them if we advance on Friday -- definitely give me ISU with the short around and a rookie head coach on Sunday. Plus we just match up better with the Cyclones.I think our poor record in this round is because our opponent has plenty of time to prepare for the zone.
No. 1-4
Gonzaga records always look Utah Statish---28 & 3, 30-6, but probably do worse against the BCS Conferences. We destroyed them in 2010 with Arinze out injured and they had Robert Sacre. Think we will be OK. Our story line is too attractive to end at Gonzagas hands.A worse record than JB has! Impressive.
