It is tough to watch this team lose right now, but I still like watching the offense. It's going to be really fun once this is firing on all cylinders. Even the defense is starting to show signs, but they simply need more players on both sides of the ball that fit into this system. We'll get there. Have an extra beer before you walk into the Dome on Saturday.

It could be worse - we could be Rutgers, LMAO. I mean, they should fire Ash after losing back-to-back games by a combined score of 136-0. That is despicable. 9 rushing TDs to Michigan? Auburn High would've at least scored a TD in one of those games. Comical.

You all have a right to complain. I get it. Go ahead, it's healthy to get it out of your system.

My GMen are terrible. Truly turrrrible.

Please come to the game this Saturday, if you're a local. Would be hilarious if we upset the Hokies as 17 point dogs.

I look forward to being a much better football team next year and a really good team in 2018.

Cheers, kids. Keep the faith or just drink more.

the board freakout over the possibility of Ash getting the job was, in retrospect, completely warranted. Dodged a bullet

berbers isn't a bad nickname, i'm proud of it, but ash has such an obvious nickname

i don't know how harbaugh is such a great college coach. the guy is so strange. wish i knew what his secret was

Think about the worst SU offensive performances in history (1994 BC, 1999 VT, 2005 WVU off the top of my head). All had over 100 yards.

Rutgers had 39.

It's unheard of.
The only way to do worse than that would be to punt it every possession.

how do you lose 78-0 while being even in turnovers

michigan completed 8 passes. how do you even have time to score 78 if you're only throwing 16 times (i know the answer, it's get a first down everytime you run)

great example of how all purpose yards is an idiotic stat.

justin goodwin had 182 all purpose yards. 7 of the came from scrimmage

Are you implying that Rutgers got their Ash whooped?

He's not just a great college coach, he's a great NFL coach as well. Guy won the NFC West three of four years in the League, I think.

THANK GOD we didn't hire him. Was nervous about the peripheral Coyle connection at the time, but glad our short timer AD made a much better decision and didn't merely rely upon his former list from Boise State or neo-nepotism to fill the role. We needed to go big, and we did.

Watched the MICH-girls game (yes, had to over ours for most part). Ash's face on the sideline was like a substitute teacher getting bullied by the students. Worse than Shafer ever was (minus the "FU Dabo.")

He could have had one Blood Poo Dabo, you Southern Trucker, but that would have required at least one good play from Rutgers in the game.

Harbaugh actually relates to the college kids way better than the pros. Also, his antics dont get old for only 3-4 years. In the pros, his personality can wear on a mature pro for 5 years plus. He is perfect in college.

"Ash is Trash" will be the favorite bumpersticker on IROC Z's mushing down I-75.

That's the secret. High school and college kids love it.

Rutgers should be on our schedule. They are a regional rival. Rutgers/Uconn (every other year swap one for other), Umass, Colgate, and then a Holy Cross/Buffalo. Maybe once every 5 years throw in WVU as opposed to Rutgers/Uconn.

Our division is like playing 3-4 out of conference teams yearly. The ACC feels like a giant out of conference schedule b/c it's an island of misfit toy feel minus BC/Pitt.

You'd rather play Holy Cross than WVU?

Bold move.

And ideal football conference for me would be:

SU, PSU, BC, Pitt, ND, UMD, VT, Miami, Navy, and WVU

That leaves 3 games against:
1 P5 school (probably a B1G one)
1 lesser regional school (UConn, Rutgers, Army, Temple etc.)
And a fcs buy game - ideally Colgate.

I'd be careful about presuming Ash will fail at Rutgers. They're getting crushed now while using players he didn't recruit. Sound familiar?

Meanwhile his 2017 recruiting class is ranked 27th right now by one service. I'd be happy going 0 - 136 in my last two games if I knew we're headed potentially for a top 25 recruiting class. Of course, it's no signing day so things can change.

Don't get me wrong, I agree with the sentiment that I'm happy with have Babers. His O offense makes more sense for the Dome long term than Ash's D philosophy would have.

I don't know. This board would be in open revolt losing the way he has. Even with someone else's recruits, something good should show up in the field.

True, the ACC divisional alignment is soooo outta whack. Putting the Ville in the Atlantic with Clemson and fsu is so lobsided. I mean pitt has to get through Miami and unc each year, vt this year. Its crazy. And yes, like hoops keep a schedule relationship with the johnnies and gtown, we should do the same with rutgers and uconn. Why not. We dont take advantage of our geography. The MAC being close by along with Ualbany. I live in albany and Cuse fb isnt even covered on local sports channels. For the love of god, bring dino and Jim's bus to Albany! Please! I just dont get it. Haven't for years.

Just out of curiosity, how does that make all purpose yards an idiotic stat?
